Katrina Pierson wants you all to know she doesn't give one good damn about what you think of her fashion statement on CNN yesterday.

Isn't that special? When you're a woman who has sold her soul to the Tea Party for a paycheck, why wouldn't you troll the entire country every time you're on television?

Each appearance by Pierson in support of Trump has brought the type of outrage that attends almost every move the Trump campaign makes.

Pierson recently criticized the other GOP presidential candidates over their reluctance to commit to using nuclear weapons on America’s enemies, glibly stating, “What good does it do to have a good nuclear triad if you’re afraid to use it?”

In another appearance she dismissed criticism of Trump’s since retracted proposal to ban Muslims — including American citizens — from the U.S., saying: “So what? They’re Muslim.”

Here's the thing. It's not up to Pierson to decide how she's going to troll us every time she appears on television. CNN's Jim Sciutto or the producers of the show could simply have told her that particular necklace was inappropriate for a live appearance on their show.

Instead, they just blithely let her do whatever she wanted with no regard for their audience or the people out there who have lost families to gun violence. Even when pressed on the question of her fashion choices, Pierson was defiant.

Callum Borchers at the Washington Post notes:

Plus, the timing of Pierson's decision to wear the necklace on TV is notable, coming 24 hours after a grand jury in Ohio declined to indict a white police officer who last year shot and killed a 12-year-old black boy named Tamir Rice, who was playing with a pellet gun. Analysis of the decision featured prominently on CNN and other cable news networks Tuesday.

Apparently CNN and Jim Sciutto don't give any fcks about that, because ratings.

I hold media outlets like CNN responsible for the circus that is our politics today. They're so addicted to the negative attention that they don't know how to edit themselves anymore. It's pathetic.
