Doctor Ben Carson, whose presidential campaign is in a death spiral, issued his master plan on how to defeat ISIS right before tonight's GOP Debate:

December 15, 2015 - Today, Dr. Ben Carson, retired neurosurgeon and 2016 Republican presidential candidate, issued the following statement and announced “Seven Steps to a Safer America,” his plan to defeat the Islamic State and protect the U.S. homeland.

“Our country faces grave national security threats. We must act boldly and decisively to protect American citizens from terrorists at home and abroad,” said Dr. Carson. “We can no longer dawdle while ISIS continues to persecute Christians, enslave young girls, oppress civil societies and perpetrate terrorist attacks against the free world. We must destroy their caliphate and prevent their terrorists from infiltrating our homeland. We must also secure our borders, identify radical Islamic extremism by name and root out its agents and collaborators in our own country. My ‘Seven Steps for a Safer America’ offers a path forward for confronting these threats and protecting this great country.”

The plan calls for the following actions to be taken.

It's not surprising that the Carson crew released their plan today since national security has been thrust into the consciousness of the US after the Paris and San Bernardino attacks and his knowledge of said issues has been woefully inadequate to say the least. But his solutions are nothing more than an amalgamation of old ideas coupled with today's right wing hysteria about the southern border.

6. President Barack Obama and Congress should immediately deploy the National Guard and military troops to patrol the U.S. southern border as well as designated spots along the northern border.

There has been some pushback to today's decision by LA to close their schools following bomb threats around the country by NYC:

Los Angeles public schools were ordered closed Tuesday after the police received what they considered a credible bomb threat — but NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton slammed the response as a “significant overreaction.”

Hours after Los Angeles officials abruptly shut down their schools, Bratton revealed New York received the same anonymous email threat but investigators quickly determined that it was a hoax.

Among the tip-offs: The “A” in Allah wasn’t capitalized in the email promising an attack, an error no true jihadist would make, Bratton said.

In plain language, Bratton chided Los Angeles, where he was police chief from 2002 to 2009, for taking such a drastic response.

“It's what they (terrorists) want, whether it's a prankster or a terrorist, they want to instill fear,” Bratton said.

Carson is bowing down to ISIS's plan to instill fear in the American public and deploying the national guard is a completely insane step to take when there's no chance of an invading ISIS army attacking the US from the border.
