House GOP Moves Toward Authorizing Planned Parenthood Witch Hunt
October 7, 2015

Now that we know the Benghazi Select Committee is wasting taxpayer dollars to lower Hillary Clinton's poll numbers, it's time for all the taxpayers to spend even more wasted dollars on a special committee to investigate Planned Parenthood based on bogus videos.

A bill to be considered on the House floor Wednesday would create a new 13-member select Energy and Commerce subcommittee. Three House panels have already investigated Planned Parenthood since July, when anti-abortion activists first released undercover videos depicting some of the group’s executives discussing its handling of fetal tissue for research.

But the new committee of eight Republicans and five Democrats would have a broad charge to investigate abortion practices and new resources to do so, including the power to subpoena documents and testimony.

“The intent is to bring all of the work . . . under one panel,” said Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) during a Tuesday meeting of the House Rules Committee. “The thought is that this will be a more expedient way to handle this, a more efficient way, and allow us to determine if there was any law broken and if there is any need for further investigation.”

Oh, bullshit. The intent is to keep the abortion issue right in front of Republican voters who are the one-issue types and grandstand the hell out of it while selectively leaking "evidence." That's why the billionaires paid for the bogus Center for Medical Progress, and by God, they're going to get their money's worth.

Meanwhile, the debt ceiling needs to be increased by November 4th, which is exactly five days after Republicans elect their new Speaker of the House. Yes, I know Dems vote too, but they won't vote for any of the GOP picks, unless they're one of the blue dogs that votes GOP almost all the time. I fully expect we'll default, but I'm sure the witchhunt will go on, funding be damned.

Do I sound bitter? That's because I am. These clowns don't deserve to be paid the money they're getting for this. They can't govern, they have no priorities other than their own political ambition, and they'd just as soon step on our heads and smash them as do what's right for the country.

Damn the lot of them.
