Many thanks to Rachel Maddow's team for actually watching and putting together these clips from the Mad Tea Party Patriots Party Wednesday on the mall.
Sarah "Snow Snooki" Palin was in rare form, managing to mangle every detail and even mangling right-wing talking points on the deal.
Michele Bachmann actually dared to use the term "any sane American" in the presence of rabid tea partyers.
Glenn Beck was annoyed that he had to compete with music in the background.
Ted Cruz was full of fire and lies, as always.
Duck Dynasty's Tea Party Taliban representative Phil Robertson was there railing against teh gheys, too.
And of course, Donald Trump was his usual bombastic, nasty self. Because why not? He's Donald Trump and he can say whatever he wants.
Then came the bombastic billionaire. Trump’s brief speech, if it can be called that, had no form and contained all the subtlety of a weapon of mass destruction. “We are led by very, very stupid people,” Trump proclaimed. “Very, very stupid people.”
...says the man who LEADS the Republican Party right now. In that sense, he's absolutely right.
Meanwhile, back in the Hallowed Halls of the House of Representatives, the Republican Party is imploding in a big way over a simple resolution. If I were you, I'd brace for another government shutdown.
