Chromeo describes themselves as “the only successful Arab/Jewish partnership since the dawn of human culture”, but I would describe their sound as being heavily influenced by
Funk and Disco; and they blur the lines between race and gender. In this track, Jealous, they turn the narrative of a woman being jealous of the man’s new love interest to being the guy who never gets the girl and is so jealous he cannot even talk about it.

*White Women is named as an homage to Helmut Newton’s first book, which they explain in more detail in this interview.
