Gov. Scott Walker joined Chuck Todd on Meet The Press this morning and couldn't give a straight answer as to why President Obama has a much better approval rating in his home state of Wisconsin than he does.
The only response he could muster was to read off his preapproved and per-sanitized work resume. There was no follow up question from Todd (who made this an easy interview for the governor) to the question so his nonsensical answer stood alone.
Todd: A new poll that was out in your home state this week, you're at 39 percent job approval, Barack Obama is at 48 percent. Why does he have a higher job rating in Wisconsin than you do?
Walker: Well, four years ago I was so low in the polls they called me dead man walking because back then we were pushing big, bold reforms....
It took forty seconds for him to read off his list, but Scott never answered the question. We aren't talking about his recall election fights or his policy positions from four years ago. If his resume was actually successful, he'd have a much higher approval rating than the sitting president of the US, but he doesn't because he's failing there and on the campaign trail. The Koch support hasn't been able to blunt Donald Trump so far and his home state knows his record all too well.
