First off, big thanks to the Crooks & Liars team for featuring my video of Sarah Silverman attacking the Koch Brothers at the Bernie Sanders Los Angeles Rally that I caught while doing coverage of the event for Opposing Views. I would now like to present our coverage of the actual rally which you can watch above. For more news and election coverage, please do Subscribe to our channel.
Here's the text:
Democratic Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders arrived in Los Angeles to address a crowd of over 27,000 people while laying out his platform and talking about his vision for the country's future.
Bernie Sanders: "We do not want to be the country on Earth that has more people in jail than any other country. We want to be the country that has the best educated population where our kids, where our young people are in school or in work, not in jail."
Sanders covered a number of key issues he's running on in next year's election: breaking up Too-Big-To-Fail Wall Street banks, reforming the criminal justice system, restoring the middle class, combating climate change, passing comprehensive immigration reform, tackling institutionalized racism, ending trade policies that ship jobs overseas, and taking on the billionaire class that is causing income inequality.
Bernie Sanders: "You know sometimes the media asked me, you know, a couple of months ago. 'well, you know Bernie Sanders, kind of a fringe guy. Who believes that when Bernie talks about taking on the billionaire class? Nobody believes that's possible! But all over America, people are saying, loudly and clearly, that this country belongs to all of us and not a handful of billionaires!"
