Mike's Blog Round Up
August 22, 2015

This was a great unintentionally hilarious headline at the generally noxious Politico yesterday: "GOP insiders to Trump: Enough already." I believe Dr. Frankenstein said something similar, once upon a time. Or as Roger Waters once wrote, and David Gilmour sang:

And when you lose control, you'll reap the harvest you have sown
And as the fear grows, the bad blood slows and turns to stone
And it's too late to lose the weight you used to need to throw around
So have a good drown, as you go down, all alone
Dragged down by the stone.*

Duck of Minerva: Feminist solidarity and intervention.

Lawyers, Guns & Money: The EPA and the Gulf Dead Zone.

No More Mister Nice Blog: The party of white identity politics.

Just an Earth-Bound Misfit, I: Maybe Dubya is the smarter one.

Can It Happen Here?: Prescribed and proscribed values.

*That would be from the song "Dogs," by the way, from the album Animals, a brilliant Orwellian concept album that very much speaks to the human condition under the bloodthirsty yoke of conservative politics.

Round-up by Michael J.W. Stickings of The Reaction. (Twitter: @mjwstickings.) I'll be here all week.
