Mike's Blog Round Up
June 24, 2015

I'll just say this: Banishing the Confederate flag to the dustbin of history, where it belongs, isn't going to solve the problem that Republicans, and many Americans generally, simply refuse to acknowledge, let alone address in any meaningful way – the culture of (violent) racism firmly rooted in America's history, manifesting itself each and every day all across the country, be it in Ferguson or Charleston or wherever. But, whatever the motives (and Republicans are clearly hoping to benefit politically from this), it's an undeniable sign of progress, and cause for a cheer or two.

Booman Tribune: The flag and the movement are the same.

Frankly Curious: The perpetual conservative delusion machine.

P.M. Carpenter: The bizarre protest support for Donald Trump.

Lawyers, Guns & Money: The impact of "Fast Track" on American families.

Round-up by Michael J.W. Stickings of The Reaction. (Twitter: @mjwstickings.) I'll be here all week.
