Savannah Guthrie, the once perky sidekick to Chuck Todd on The Daily Rundown, asked a substantive question to fledgling presidential hopeful, Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky) on The Today Show. Her question had three parts, all regarding his waffling, unorthodox opinions on foreign policy: the threat posed by Iran, next his desire to end foreign aid to Israel. That made Paul pretty uncomfortable.

While Guthrie inquired about the third part of his foreign policy makeover, Paul's frustration got the best of him. Guthrie said,

"you once opted to drastically cut defense spending and now you want to increase it 16%, so I just wonder if you've mellowed out?"

Paul wants no part of her fact checking him.

"Why don't you let me explain instead of talking over me, okay? (Savannah says, Sure!) Before we go through a litany of things that YOU said I've changed on, why don't you ask me a question, 'have I changed my opinion,' that would be a better way... Heeding his advice, Guthrie asks, "Have you changed your opinion, is Iran still a threat?." Paul interrupts, "no, no, no, no, no, listen, you've editorialized, let me answer the question. (Guthrie acquiesces, "okay.") you ask a question and you say, 'have your views changed' instead of editorializing and saying my views have changed.

I'm sure Savannah Guthrie has had enough experience conducting interviews that she understands the normal Q and A procedure. Paul condescendingly infers she knows no such thing and schools her on how to ask a question. Obviously his patience for female interviewers is lacking, just ask CNBC's Kelly Evans.

Paul continued defending his former self and created a brand new set of facts. When he claimed Iran posed little peril to the United States in 2007, the nation was in the hands of vehemently anti-American Ahmadinejad. He argued that "things are different eight years later." Now we have a much more hopeful future with Iran, so the threat has actually diminished. But, since fellow hardliners who are loyal to Netanyahu like Tehran Tom, want to bomb Iran into the Stone Age, Baby Paul has to jump on the more militant bandwagon.

On the issue of giving aid to foreign countries, Paul said that as a matter of principle, he objects to ever borrowing (from China he repeats) in order to give aid to anyone. He says, contrary to his position he held during a January, 2013 trip to the Jewish State, that Israel should continue to receive aid until they can do without. Much to his chagrin, Israel has no plans to give up their cash cow, especially since Boehner pledged his undying devotion to Bibi, why should they? Paul claims we should cut aid to "flag-burning" countries like Pakistan before cutting aid to Israel.

As far as his latest plan to beef up the Department Of Defense, he has definitely done a 180°. McCain cheerleader and BFF, Lindsey Graham was offended by his latest proposal to increase defense spending by $190 million after formerly opposing a large defense budget.

“To those who constantly demagogue foreign aid as being the root of our financial problems -- Please stop because you don't know what the hell you're talking about.”

Surprisingly, Lindsey was able to accomplish his retort without a trip to the fainting couch.

Guthrie and other women who don't know their place beware. Rand Paul, the self-professed Libertarian is all for liberty as long as it doesn't impede his freedom to flip-flop without interference.
