This is the first song that they've released off of the upcoming album, entitled Born in the Echoes. This song, "Sometimes I Feel So Deserted," is the public's first taste of what's to come from the Chem Bros. My first impression is that it's alright. There's a catchy melody at some points, but there's not a whole lot of build or harmonic diversity. There are, however, some cool sonic textures and there will be some very creative musical artists featured on this album including Beck, St. Vincent, and Q-Tip. Considering they all put out really interesting material on a consistent basis, I've got pretty high hopes for the rest of the album.
