Rep. Trey Gowdy told Chuck Todd that Hillary Clinton is only the 1/50th most important person he has to investigate in his Benghazi witch hunt.

Rep. Trey Gowdy (SC) is the head of the of the new, new, new, new Benghazi investigation and he made the Sunday Talk Show rounds this morning following Hillary Clinton's Emailghazi press conference last week. He talks in a slow, measured tone which helps make him seem sort of nonpartisan to the average viewer. After telling host Chuck Todd of Meet The Press that he had no conclusive evidence that Hillary was lying in her presser - he actually had the nerve to say Hillary isn't the main focus on HIS Benghazi blue ribbon panel. Nope, she's so unimportant that he hasn't even mentioned her name yet. Don't believe that? Just read a nicely planted WSJ story. Really, she's only like the 1/50th most important person in his entire investigation.

Todd: You've said you want to have her testify twice now, once off camera - not in a public way to try and discuss exactly her electronic communications and things like that. And then in a second time in a very public way when it comes to all things Benghazi and Libya itself. Is she the main focus of your investigation here - is that way you want her twice?

Gowdy: Oh, heaven's no. I think it was a WSJ reporter that went and looked at out three previous hearings and I mentioned her name a whopping zero times. She is a very important part of understanding what happened in Libya and Benghazi, but Chuck, we're scheduled to interview fifty witnesses between now and the conclusion, so she would be 1/50th of that. ...She's not even a central focus, she's certainly not THE focus.

Sure she isn't, Trey. What else are you selling?

Rep. Adam Schiff told Chris Wallace on FNS that the reason Gowdy hasn't mentioned Hillary's name yet is because he's holding off as long as possible so that his panel will bleed well into the 2016 presidential election. Who could argue with that?
