Thanks to information provided by the public, police were able to locate a weapon at suspect Jeffrey Williams' home, and that .40-caliber handgun "has been tied to the shell casings that were recovered" at the scene in Ferguson, Missouri, where two officers were shot last week, St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Bob McCullooch said Sunday.

Authorities offered a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of person or persons responsible for the gunfire upon the two officers, according to the St. Louis Regional CrimeStoppers website.
It was unclear if anyone would collect the reward after Sunday's announcement of an arrest.
McCulloch said the suspect may have been targeting someone other than the police, but don't expect Sean Hannity and his ilk to quit blaming the shooting on Eric Holder, President Obama and Al Sharpton any time soon.
