Fox Business Network has a segment called "Should You Care," because the viewers of the infotainment "business" network don't have the wherewithal to decide for themselves. The network that was the head varsity cheerleader for the tax-evading Cliven Bundy in addition to slobbering over corporations that pay zero in taxes, is far more appalled that the MSNBC host and Reverend Al Sharpton has a past-due tax bill.
Tracy Byrnes is beside herself saying,
"I don't care how philanthropic you are, pay your bill, MAN!"
Yes viewers,
you absolutely should care, because no one else in this country could get away with this.... No more Teflon Al!
This is a network that operates in deference to the corporatocracy they serve. Much of this corporatocracy have been paying obscenely low taxes since the advent of the Bush Tax Cuts for the rich.
Bernie Sanders notes how insane the rate for corporate taxes have become in this country.
"In 1952, the corporate income tax accounted for 33 percent of all federal tax revenue. Today, despite record-breaking profits, corporate taxes bring in less than 9 percent."
Yet FBN will never bring up the disgracefully paltry sum these companies pay. Is Al Sharpton going to get away with owing Uncle Sam? Hell no, he'll pay, unlike Chevron.
If you're wondering how intelligent Ms. Byrnes is, she is a science denier who confused the depletion of the ozone layer with global warming. This is why she fits right in with the Fox News, tinfoil hat-wearing audience.
