Dr. Ben Carson, head clown in the Republican clown car that is the 2016 Republican nomination for the presidency, said President Obama is a traitor for supposedly standing in the way of funding the Department of Homeland Security -- because he's refusing to give in to the GOP demands against his executive actions on immigration.

Only in conservative circles is this considered logical.

Republican presidential hopeful Ben Carson appeared on Newsmax TV yesterday, where he criticized President Obama's handling of the fight over Department of Homeland Security funding.

While Democrats and some Republicans want to pass a clean funding bill for the department, many conservatives, including Carson, want to use the DHS legislation to block the president's executive actions on immigration. Carson told host J.D. Hayworth, a former Republican congressman, that if Obama decides to "stand in the way, particularly to things that are vital to the security of this country, then I think we can start talking about treason."

"If things are done that are contrary to the security of this country, whoever does them is guilty of treason,"
Carson said.

Obama's immigration orders have nothing to do with funding the DHS, but since Republicans are using it to undermine immigration reform and if the president doesn't kowtow to their demands, then he's the traitor.

That's kinda like a kidnapper demanding $100 million for your husband or wife and they give you one hour to come up with the money in small bills. When you fail to comply in the allotted time, they kill your spouse and then blame you for the murder.

"All you had to do was give me the 100 million dollars when and how I asked and this mess would have never happened."

I guess that would make sense to a sociopathic extremist politician like a Ben Carson. In a new poll by CNN, America would blame Republicans for shutting down the DHS:

Republicans in Congress would shoulder the blame for a shutdown at the Department of Homeland Security if they are unable to enact a new spending bill to keep the agency running, according to a new CNN/ORC poll. The survey finds 53% of Americans would blame the Republicans in Congress if the department must shut down, while 30% would blame President Barack Obama. Another 13% say both deserve the blame.

A majority says a shutdown at DHS, even if it's just for a few days, would be a crisis or a major problem.
