If I had to describe this album by comparing it to other bands, I'd say that it falls somewhere between Orthrelm and Captain Beefheart. I wish I could understand Portuguese, but, until I get on that "Learn Portuguese" resolution, I'll have to look up the lyrics. Lyrics aside, I'm pretty amazed by the fluidity of this album. It maintains a pretty consistent sound throughout the track listing with slight alterations to the form, mostly melodically and somewhat rhythmically. That in mind, it's kind of incredible that these musicians were able to maintain that kind of consistency for the better part of an hour without going bonkers or losing their place, whether or not it was recorded all at once.
