If Grand Juries indict ham sandwiches, should the black community view themselves as something lower than a ham sandwich? Apparently so, based on the latest news from New York City.
TPM:
A grand jury has decided not to charge the New York City police officer who used a chokehold on an African-American man who later died, the New York Timesreported Wednesday.
After months of investigation, Officer Daniel Pantaleo will not be charged in the death of Eric Garner, 43, who died in July after being placed in a chokehold by Pantaleo during a confrontation. The newspaper cited "a person briefed on the matter."
Once again, the African-American community is confronted with the reality of one of their men dying at the hands of police with no justice.
Congratulations, New York.
