The pundits over at Faux "news" continue to make it hard to distinguish between what is supposed to pass for political commentary and what should rightfully be a parody over at The Onion.
On this Saturday's Cavuto on Business, regular guest and flamethrower Charlie Gasparino, who apparently is on a roll this week after his Twitter feud with CNBC's Ron Insana, decided to get the ball rolling right off the bat with the name calling while discussing the results of this week's midterm elections.
Apparently anything short of acting just like Bill Clinton -- who Republicans rewarded for any of his cooperation with them by impeaching him -- and giving Republicans everything they want on trade, lowering corporate tax rates, Keystone, or dismantling Obamacare is now equal to being a radical and channeling Saul Alinsky according to the morons on Fox.
Here's Neil Cavuto and his guests this Saturday on what's supposed to pass for a "business" show. The only business they care about is helping to keep getting Republicans elected and that all of them are still receiving a nice fat check from Uncle Rupert.
CAVUTO: But if you don't own up to being among the contributing factors for a horrible day...
GASPARINO: Why would he do that?
CAVUTO: You've got to wonder, where do we go from here?
GASPARINO: Listen, the smart thing would be for him to compromise on a few basic parts of Obamacare, Dodd/Frank, maybe some targeted tax cuts. The economy would grow, I think fairly significantly and one of the problems in the jobs numbers is that wage growth is still pretty crummy. And we'd be better... you know what? We'd probably elect Hillary Clinton president, but he won't do it.
He can't... Saul Alinsky is talking to him everyday and he will not do it... from the grave.
[…]
CAVUTO: Ben Stein, what do you make of that and whether the appetite for change is there or not?
STEIN: Well I think it's quite fascinating to me that Mr. Clinton got himself to be more pragmatic when things turned against him, where Mr. Obama is showing himself to be more ideologically rigid. There is something so... he's such an amiable guy and so friendly and outgoing in his persona, but in his politics so extremely rigid and by the way, I don't think he really has a program for the next two years.
I don't think he really has any meaningful programs after Obamacare except to disarm America, and make us weak in the eyes of our enemies and I don't think he really has any idea what to do except to continue doing, as you said, or as my friend Charlie said, channel Saul Alinsky from beyond the grave.
Warning: Watching too much Fox "news" has been known to cause psychological damage and to lower IQ points in some test subjects. Watch the entire clip above at your own risk.
