Another round accidentally left in a gun. Oops!

KOKOMO, Ind. (21Alive) -- Police are investigating an incident where a 9-month-old was shot in the head Wednesday evening.

According to RTV6, the incident happened around 5 p.m. when 31-year-old John Hambaugh III was getting ready to clean his handgun in his kitchen.

Authorities say a round was accidentally left in the gun and discharged when Hambaugh was beginning to clean it. The round went through Hambaugh's thigh and struck his son's head.
