As we already discussed here, Faux "news" host and egomaniac Sean Hannity was made a mockery of by Comedy Central host and soon to be David Letterman replacement, Stephen Colbert the other night for his segment bragging about his new workout regimen. It seems Hannity didn't take too kindly to being made fun of by Colbert.
Sean Hannity: Stephen Colbert's New Show Is Going To Tank:
Sean Hannity seemingly responded to Stephen Colbert’s mockery of his “Question Of The Day” segment with a new question on Friday night’s “Hannity.”
“Tonight’s question of the day: ‘Who’s gonna win the late night wars when David Letterman retires next year?’” Hannity said. “My prediction? Very simple. It’s definitely gonna be only one of these two hosts.”
Hannity then played clips of both Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel.
“And I predict this guy,” Hannity said, as a photo of Colbert flashed across the screen, “is gonna come in dead last.”
I hate to break it to Hannity, but Colbert is pretty damned funny even when he's not in character. He managed to actually make watching Morning Joe enjoyable a few years ago, and that's no easy task. I think he's going to do just fine taking over for Letterman.
