Ordinarily I wouldn't subject anyone to Rush Limbaugh's nonsense, but really, you have to hear this to believe it. He's not even trying to disguise his racism anymore. In fact, he's wearing it right out there on his sleeve. This little riff on Central American immigrants, housing discrimination and suburbia is right up there with Cliven Bundy's musings on "The Negro."
I will try to summarize if you just cannot bear it.
Rush begins by saying that everyone "wants to live with their own kind" as a matter of course, which is why neighborhoods tend to be segregated. In his infinite wisdom, of course.
He then shifts to discrimination, specifically housing discrimination, claiming the 'regime' is testing the limits of the Fair Housing Act by studying why people want to live with their own kind.
So what the 'regime' is going to do is "build projects" in these neighborhoods. This is called a "War on the Suburbs" and is yet another example of redistribution.
He interrupts this to claim that those people wanting to live in said projects "have cell phones, big screens and could watch the World Cup if they wanted." Further, Rush avers that we're going from full time to part time everywhere, so that Obamacare will be the one place to get health insurance.
Rush then closes the loop by circling back to "these refugees, illegal alien immigrants are being placed in states where authorities, including the governor, are not being told." And they're diseased. And they're not properly screened, so "we don't know what kind of infectious disease we're importing."
Then we get to the point. You see, the children are not "being deposited in these buildings with broken windows on 8th Avenue," because what this is really about is Obama "cutting everybody down to size" in order to "show everybody what life is really like."
Shorter Rush: Brown people are infiltrating a neighborhood NEAR YOU. Be afraid.
Here's my commentary: I live in a fairly affluent suburb in Ventura County, California. Our local paper reports that 350 of the children are currently housed at a nearby Navy base. Our community is not shaking in their boots. No, this is what our community is doing:
More than 200 people showing support for the migrant children staying at Naval Base Ventura County greeted several California state legislators at the base’s gate as they toured the facility Tuesday afternoon.
The children, who traveled alone to the U.S. illegally, fleeing violence and poverty in Central American countries, typically stay at the naval base shelter for about two weeks.
The supporters held signs with messages such as “No human being is illegal” and “Protect the children.”
And also, they're doing this:
Unlike Murrieta, Jackson said, Ventura County has welcomed the children. She said a number of local nonprofits, churches and volunteers have organized to provide clothing, food and emotional support to the children staying at the base.
That's what compassionate people do. They don't worry about 'infiltration.' They take care of people in need.
Suck on it, Rushbo. Take your racist ass and get off my taxpayer-subsidized airwaves.
