It looks like someone over at Faux "news" can read poll numbers and decided to cut Megyn Kelly loose with how she treats any of the neocons who come on her show defending our initial decision to invade Iraq, because for the second night in a row, a couple of them actually found themselves being grilled a bit over the decision to go into Iraq in the first place.
Wednesday night, it was the Dick and Liz show. This Thursday it was the National Review's Andrew McCarthy and former Bush U.N. ambassador and war monger, John Bolton. Kelly wasn't too hard on McCarthy who actually admitted it probably wasn't a good idea to go in there, but was more than happy to continue pushing the right-wing lies about why we invaded a country that was not a threat to us (which he was not called out for.) Bolton on the other hand is probably not too happy with her after this interview.

Since the American combat mission in Iraq ended, the situation rapidly spiraled downward and in recent weeks, ISIS militants have taken over key cities and an oil refinery.
National Review contributing editor Andrew McCarthy weighed in on tonight’s show. He said, “The detour that went wrong was the idea of trying to turn Iraq into something resembling a Western democracy, which I think was a fool’s errand in the end.”
McCarthy said the major problem in Iraq is Islamic supremacism. “That’s not a creation of either Obama or Bush. That’s just a fact of life in that region.”
He went on to defend President Obama’s decision to pull American combat troops out of Iraq.
Citing recent poll numbers and some politicians, Megyn said, “Mr. Obama’s critics say […] if we could’ve kept some more [combat troops] on the ground there, we could have protected the gains that 4,500 Americans sacrificed their lives to make."
John Bolton, former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, called that criticism “irrelevant” to the circumstances we face now.
Megyn responded, “Actually, it is relevant to a lot of people who are out there wondering how did we get here? Is it not relevant to ask how did we get here?”
Bolton said he could care less what the poll numbers say because the issue is what we should do to protect American interests.
Here's how she wrapped things up with Bolton:
KELLY: You know a lot of people are out there tonight saying, well, weren't you one of the people who was in favor of going into Iraq in the first place and is that why you don't want to discuss the past ten years and whether they were worth it?
BOLTON: I'd be happy to discuss the past ten years and we can start ten years before that if you want, but that's not the question that America faces today.
Yeah, he'll be happy to discuss it, some other time... just like his friends Scarborough and Bloody Bill. In the mean time he the only thing he wants to do is blame Obama for everything that's gone wrong. Can't we talk about that some more please?
