Fox New's host Gretchen Carlson, formerly of Fox & Friends couldn't contain her disdain over the idea that America could possible engage in talks with Iran to help with the ongoing situation that threatens Iraq for possibly some support against the ISIS terrorist groups that's marauding its way towards Baghdad.
The Obama Administration is “open” to direct talks with Iran over the exploding crisis in Iraq, Secretary of State John Kerry said in an interview published Monday, as militants who say they massacred hundreds of Iraqi soldiers continued their march toward Baghdad and the U.S. embassy thereevacuated some personnel.
This did not make Carlson very happy at all.
Carlson: I don't know Chris, hard to keep this straight depending on if it's the State Department, tweeting out or the DOD which says something different and then you have John kerry so how are you putting this all together?
Chris Stirewalt tried to explain it to her, but she still couldn't wrap her head around it and she became very shrill indeed.
Carlson: Lets just say for the moment. Americans have not watched the news for two weeks or so. And they turned it on today and heard that America was talking to Iran about teaming up to help a situation in Iraq. They would think it was preposterous.
In the black and white world where Fox Newsers exist, anything that doesn't conform is met with outrage.
I guess she never heard of the saying by Sun-tzu that says: Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.
