A student embittered by women rejecting him killed six in a gun and knife rampage before apparently taking his own life following a shootout with police in a seaside California college town, police said.
Elliot Rodger, the 22-year-old son of a Hollywood director, also injured at least 13 people in Isla Vista, near the campus of the University of California Santa Barbara, police said Saturday.
Rodger's father is Peter Rodger, an assistant director of the 2012 Hollywood blockbuster "The Hunger Games."
