Nearly 10 million formerly uninsured Americans now have coverage for themselves and their families because of the Affordable Healthcare Act. The latest study to show this was conducted by the RAND Corporation which, according to their website, is a nonprofit institution that helps improve policy and decision-making through research and analysis.
The study followed over 2,400 respondents from September 2013 to March 2014 and tracked their changes in insurance status, allowing RAND to see who gained and who lost insurance.
