Rand Paul's Jeans Are Presidential Material. No, Really.

CBN writer David Brody (yes, that's his name), thinks Rand Paul's jeans are gonna walk him right into the White House.

RightWingWatch:

CBN’s chief political reporter David Brody fawns over every Republican politician he meets, and a recent blog post gushes over Rand Paul’s presidential prospects. You see, Brody explains, Rand Paul sometimes wears blue jeans, and his jeans “could take him into straight into The White House.”

“While other politicians are wearing a suit and tie, Paul is different,” he writes. “Paul’s choice of leg attire represents something. Whether the senator from Kentucky knows it or not, it’s his calling card to say he’s unique, different, and a trendsetter within the Republican Party.”

Those are some magic jeans! I want a pair that will get me a job only one person can have that pays six figures. You?

I figured I'd go try and track down the magic, because clearly Rand Paul must wear these magic jeans a lot to distinguish himself from the other guys who always seems to be in suits.

I found one. Only one. If you look at the picture above, there's Rand in a pair of magic Levi's. Evidently he doesn't wear them often so the voodoo won't wear off.

Yes, I'm snarking. But on the serious side, isn't this right up there with trying to turn a straight-line politician into a folksy guy you want to have a beer with? Rand Paul is better off staying in his suit and pretending he has a shot at the White House, but the truth is that no jeans -- magic or otherwise -- are going to make a difference.

Oh, wait. Our own brilliant Heather found another one that's definitely Rand Paul in his presidential jeans, but the suit coat sort of destroys the folksy effect.

And Sarah Palin says Obama wears Mom jeans? Ah, the irony.
