Fortunately, since he first got his start, reggae has aged pretty well (although that guitar solo is stuck back in 1980). Regardless, Williams is a damn fine songwriter and singer who knows how to lay down some reggae. Despite the kitschy '70s talk box leads, his vocals and lyrics cut through and sit nicely on top of the heavy drums and bass coming from the rhythm section. If you're a reggae fan and haven't checked out the rest of this album or any more of Willi's work, then I'm not very inclined to call you a reggae fan. All jokes aside, Willi is a very talented guy whose music helped create a foundation for a genre that has since become the defining sound for a nation.
