The popular “Flappy Bird” game is coming back, according to creator Dong Nguyen, who nonetheless offered no firm timetable for a re-release.
“Yes. But not soon,” he wrote on Twitter March 19, in response to a question about whether the game would return.
“Flappy Bird” asks the player to guide the titular character through the gaps in a series of pipes. Despite the simplicity—or maybe because of it—the game became a massive hit within eight months of its May 2013 release, earning Nguyen a reported $50,000 per day in ad revenue.
