TRENTON — The embattled chairman of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and close ally to Gov. Chris Christie, David Samson, has been subpoenaed by federal prosecutors in Manhattan as part of a newly disclosed investigation, according to multiple news reports today.
Citing sources, the Wall Street Journal and New York Times said the subpoena seeks records related to potential conflicts of interest between Samson, who has been under the microscope since the September lane closings at the George Washington Bridge, and his private law firm, Wolff & Samson.
