La Fragua, that's who. They're a band that plays Andean folk music (in several of its styles) that formed in San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina. As it turns out, Argentinians (or at least the ones I know) are pretty fond of The Beatles, so this album isn't quite as far out as it seems. However, this band isn't just all Beatles tunes, they've even arranged some of Vivaldi's works into Andean folk styles. On top of that, this Beatles abum isn't even their only one, as they had released a second volume of Beatles arrangements in 2007. I don't know if it's the natural beauty of Patagonia or the high altitudes that makes La Fragua so creative, but whatever it is, I hope that it keeps them going in their next creative pursuit.
