After 16 years in Congress, U.S. Rep. Rush Holt (D-Hopewell Township) will not seek re-election to his seat in the 12th District, he announced yesterday.

Holt, 65, whose current two-year term ends this year, announced his decision in an email to supporters yesterday afternoon but did not specify his future plans.
