It seems Fox's Sean Hannity is terribly upset with MSNBC, and Chris Matthews in particular, for calling out the pundits on Fox for being a bunch of racists and bigots that make their money day after day by hating on President Obama. Gee, I can't imagine where Chris Matthews might have gotten that idea from, can you?
After first complaining about President Obama calling his network out during his pre-Super Bowl interview with Bill O'Reilly, Hannity played a portion of Matthew's show this week, where he said that "anything that's nasty" about President Obama becomes an "amen chorus of the Republican party." Matthews was referring to the incident where Rep. Jim Bridenstine laughed along with a supporter who said President Obama should be executed at a town hall.
Hannity and his guests did their best to try to defend the GOP, saying that Bridenstine had been denounced by some of his fellow Republicans, which completely misses the mark on Matthews' criticism, of course. Then they went onto attack MSNBC as being too partisan and in the tank for Democrats and Obama.
That's right. Someone from what basically amounts to a political operation for the GOP masquerading as a "news" organization had the gall to complain about another corporate media outlet.
Cry me a freaking river. I tell you what Hannity, when MSNBC takes Joe Scarborough, Chuck Todd, Mrs. Greenspan, the better part of their day time lineup and Chris Matthews off the air and replaces them with actual left wing liberals, and when they quit forcing those from the left who do anchor shows to bring on the likes of Ben Domenech and his ilk for "balance," then maybe we'll have a network out there that's a real counter-balance to the one you're on. In the meantime, spare us your crocodile tears.
