The House of Representatives on Tuesday approved a three-day extension of federal funding to allow for final debate over a recently-negotiated $1 trillion spending bill.
The chamber green-lighted the measure on a simple voice vote, a dramatic change from the political fights that marred much of last year's fiscal debate and led to a paralyzing 16-day government shut-down in October.
