New Jersey's Hurricane Sandy recovery head called the claim that Hoboken received less than its fair share of disaster aid a “mischaracterization.”
Marc Ferzan, the executive director of the Governor’s Office of Recovery and Rebuilding, said the state had to address a variety of needs with the pot of money that Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer is alleging she was shortchanged on.
Zimmer said she received just $142,000 from the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program despite a request for $100 million.
