The Jersey Journal has obtained a copy of a secretly recorded lunch meeting between Assemblyman Carmelo Garcia and Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer's husband that is the focus of a new lawsuit.
Garcia, D-Hoboken, claims he felt bullied and pressured by Zimmer's husband, Stan Grossbard, to hire a particular attorney for the Hoboken Housing Authority. Garcia is the director of that city agency.
Garcia, who won election to the state Assembly in November, said it's ironic that Zimmer says she was pressured by Christie administration over development and Sandy aid.
