Lights Out from The Unboxed Set

When do fads become trends, and when do trends become stale?

Why hasn't the Segway caught on? Why did Karl Rove's stepfather become enamored (allegedly) with piercing? Faux-hawks- why?

I ask these questions because I recently found out that my Uncle Denny and his wife got matching tattoos (his first and only, afaik) on their lower backs when they wed. The tats are tasteful, I suppose: they're claddaghs, an Irish symbol of love, friendship and loyalty. Tasteful, and discrete, too- unless they go to the beach to sunbathe.

Did I happen to mention that Uncle Denny was 69 years old when he took the needle?

Enough is enough, already. Could be worse, I guess. The "Lights Out Way" might have caught on.

[Full disclosure: Andy K does not have any piercings, tattoos or implants. And he uses a cereal bowl to cut his hair.]
