Although Moby is signed to an English label and his musical career took off in the U.K., he's an all-American guy (born in Harlem), a great-great-great-great nephew of Herman Melville. If Play was his biggest success, the follow-up, 18, was daring in that it veered away from the electronic sound Moby was associated with and towards his more alternative rock roots. He recruited Azure Ray to work with him on "Great Escape," tonight's feature:
