Ben E. King's music seems to cross all demographic divides. Regardless of race, age, ethnicity, gender... everybody loves his rich, timeless songs. Even before he was Ben E. King, he had smash after smash as lead singer of The Drifters (like "This Magic Moment," "Save the Last Dance For Me," and "Dance With Me"). His first solo hit was "Spanish Harlem" and he followed it up with "Stand By Me," perfect for a Friday night:
