John is always yelling at me for not including enough religious music. We both know people are looking for inspiration and passion but sometimes we look in different places. Yesterday I dug up something exquisite, the Missa Luba by Les Troubadours du Roi Baudouin, which I used to listen to when I was high in college and didn't want to study. It's the Latin mass done by a choir of Congolese children. (Roi Baudouin was the awful King of Belgium who owned the Congo and ran it like a plantation.) "Sanctus" and "Benedictus" were U.K. hits but the album never got too far in the U.S.-- except among college stoners. The album recently came out on CD and if you like this song, you'll like the whole thing. Lucas and I put the clip together especially for ya.
