On Wednesday's Countdown, Keith Olbermann and The Washington Post's Chris Cillizza discuss what could potentially be a major gaffe in Republican presidential candidate Fred Thompson's campaign. It seems Thompson told a group of South Carolina Republicans that he's right with God, but doesn't attend church regularly, except when he visits his mother. He also said that he doesn't want to talk about religion in the campaign -- which will undoubtedly go over like a lead balloon with the far right, evangelical base of the Republican party. I can only imagine Rudy and Mitt will thank the Lord for this little gift...
