Filling in for SnowJob while he undergoes surgery, Deputy Press Secretary Dana Perino admitted during yesterday's briefing the inconsistency of referring back to a CNN transcript of an interview with Alberto Gonzales while continuing to speak for a White House that seeks to deny the Judiciary Committee a transcript of their proposed "meeting" with Rove and Miers.
This is precisely why a transcript is absolutely necessary; there simply has to be an official record we can all refer back to. Again, if the White House was so interested in getting the truth out, what's with all the hurdles? The answer is glaringly obvious. And it has nothing to do with executive privilege.
