I'm very bummed about this post. I love Salon. Some of my favorite writers have contributed to Salon and I've always enjoyed their coverage. But Kos diarist MissLaura has found that Salon's editorial standards have slipped a bit or they're taking notes from Bill Kristol.

Update: Well, that was fast. "Uppity" has become "smug." Thanks, by the way, to clonecone for the screenshot of the original.

John Amato: Changing the word to "smug" is supposed to make it all better now?
