I humbly accept the nomination and await to hear back from the Nobel Peace Prize committee. I am honored and really have no words to express my surprise and gratitude...
My nomination letter below the fold..Do you think I will receive Mark Levin's support?
Dear Honorable Members of the Nobel Foundation:I would hereby like to nominate my friend and boss, John Amato, for consideration for a 2007 Nobel Peace Prize.
Not to speak ill of your other nominees, but unlike..say, Rush Limbaugh, Mr. Amato has worked tirelessly and at great personal detriment to continually bring forth examples of hackery, corruption and utter stupidity that has made up the neo-conservative movement in the US. As Swedes (we LOVE Scandinavians, by the way), I'm sure you all will agree with me, "neo-cons" have hurt this country's fine stature and standing on the global scene. In fact, I would like to ask a small favor of you: if it's not too presumptuous, when you consider Mr. Limbaugh's application, might you ask him why he hates America?
To sweeten the deal, please allow me to remind you that Mr. Amato is an accomplished musician, and would certainly be happy to perform during the ceremony, and let's face it (and this is certainly betraying a bias on my part), a medley of Goo Goo Dolls hits will certainly liven up the (forgive me) starchiness of past award ceremonies.
Further, Mr. Amato promises to never, ever claim to have "treated" brain-dead patients like those other "nominees" invited on FOXNews. I beseech you to consider Mr. Amato, to show the world that there are progressive Americans out there dedicated to peace and baseball (although, not necessarily in that order) and who are not afraid to speak their mind or call out a hypocrite.
Most humbly yours,
Nicole Belle
