...when Peter announced his illness to the world on4/06. I believe this was his last TV appearance. What a distinct voicehe had that helped make him such a great anchor. No matter what yourpolitical persuasion is Jeff summed it up nicely:

"Though I disagreed with his politics, I long admiredJennings for his dedication to the profession—a dedication that hismarathon 911 coverage likely etched into the minds of many Americans.
