via JABBS: White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan yesterday defended comments made Wednesday by Karl Rove, in which Rove suggested that Democrats' reaction to the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks was to "offer therapy and understanding for our attackers."

Rove, President Bush's chief political adviser, said in a speech Wednesday to the New York (state) Conservative Party that "liberals saw the savagery of the 9/11 attacks and wanted to prepare indictments and offer therapy and understanding for our attackers."
