On the floor of the Senate Today, Sen. Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-TN) described Democratic efforts opposing some of President Bush’s judicial nominees as “leadership-led use of Cloture vote to kill, to defeat, to assassinate these nominees.”

AmericaBlog says the man should resign. Apparently he didn't listen to Judge Lefkow today saying:"In the age of mass communication, harsh rhetoric is truly dangerous," Lefkow said. "Fostering disrespect for judges can only encourage those that are on the edge, or the fringe, to exact revenge on a judge who ruled against them." Well why would he. Obviously Frist is talking about the nomination, but Bill is only echoing what his religious right wing base says on a daily basis. Luckily Durbin was there to call him out on his "choice" of words.
