Talking to a source at Café Press, I was told that they received numerous death, bomb and even Anthrax threats if they didn't pull off the anti-Delay T-shirt, and Kill Bush products.
"It was terrible. We try to provide a service, without being involved in the politics of things, but after receiving so many death threats (over four hours, and hundreds of nasty calls)...the products were pulled." Their policy was also considered.
Café Press recently updated their search engine, which makes it easier for people to search items. The Kill Bush products had been on their shelves for over a year.."...but nobody ever bothered to look at them." I asked how many of these items they actually sold. " We sold about a hand full of the Bush gear." I said. "That's all? " Yes." "What about the Anti-Delay T-shirts?" They were a new line, but again we didn't sell more than a few"
While I'm no fan of the Bush gear; the Tom Delay shirts are harmless. The move was started by Drudge (head of the GOP talking points hierarchy) to try and take some heat off of Delay.
Michelle Malkin says there's tasteless political paraphernalia on both sides of the aisle, but nothing as bad as the anti-Bush products.
"Blogs get results: The "Kill Bush" products first reported here and publicized on scores of blogs big and small, have been removed".
Bravo Michelle, it only took the lunatic fringe of your party to call in death threats to scare Cafe Press into removing the products.
Malkin goes on to say: Welcome to the sick world of the pro-assassination Left.
As far as I know Michelle, it seems that the sick, right wing, lunatic fringe threaten and are actually assassinating people!
PS: I find it interesting that there isn't a mention on her site about Eric Rudolph, I wonder why?
